Over time, Z&F  has evolved from its initial core competencies in acoustic design and acoustic decoration to develop integrated construction capabilities encompassing lighting, audio systems, and stage equipment integration. Since 2000, when Ms. Liu Fang, founder of Z&F, participated in the lighting and illumination project of the Shanghai Grand Theatre, the Z&F team has been involved in the construction of 60% of China’s high-end, premium theatres. Of the “Top 10 High-Quality Theatres in China Since the Founding of the PRC,” 6 were delivered with Z&F’s contribution. Over the past two decades, Z&F has participated in and invested in more grand theatres than any other company worldwide, and contributed to two of the “Three Theatres with Best Acoustic Performance in China Since the Founding of the PRC.” In 2012, Z&F was invited to co-draft the Code for Theatre Building Design, and has also served as a contributing organization for several national and industry standards, including the Standard for Measurement of Indoor Acoustic Parameters, the Code for Sound Insulation Design of Civil Buildings, the Technical Specification for Noise and Vibration Control in Residential Buildings, and the Design Standard for Noise and Vibration Control in Hospital Buildings.
