Nestled along the banks of the Yellow River, the Gansu Grand Theatre is designated as Gansu Province’s “No. 1 Priority Project.” This landmark public complex seamlessly integrates the Gansu Conference Center and a state-of-the-art theatre into one unified architectural ensemble.

Spanning a total area of 33,000 square meters, its core spaces include a 1,500-seat auditorium (complete with balconies, stage, and rehearsal hall). Designed as a cultural sanctuary reflecting Gansu’s unique regional character, the theatre harmoniously blends the artistic aspirations of Lanzhou’s citizens with timeless architectural excellence—earning its place as a defining symbol of the city’s 21st-century urban development. Z&F was entrusted with the design and construction of key areas, including the main auditorium, stage zone, and grand lobby.
